Using My Sites
My Sites define your identity in SharePoint. They are a place to share information you have that doesn’t fit neatly in to a project or department site. They are also a great place to experiment and learn about SharePoint. You are the administrator of your own My Site, so you aren’t limited the way you may be in other areas of the portal.
My Sites are only available in MOSS.
As you learn, you can extend your My Sites to fill these needs:
=> Create a own portal for accessing internal and external resources.
=> Find subject area experts within the company.
=> Locate the correct person to talk to in other departments or locations.
