Using the Built-In Web Parts
SharePoint includes a set of built-in web parts that you can add to any page. Tables 1, 2, and 3 list the web parts that come with SharePoint.

MOSS adds a lot of web parts! Some of those are variations of similar web parts, such as the Outlook, Search, and Site Directory categories. All of the MOSS web parts rely on services that are only available in MOSS; you can’t move MOSS web parts to servers running only WSS.
