The answer is yes, although FM Starting Point was not specifically engineered for this type of business. Typically, a media or advertising company (or even a photographer) will use a Digital Asset Management tool to keep track of all their materials they need to run their business. This cannot be reasonably done with FileMaker’s built-in Container fields, due to slow performance. SuperContainer and FileMaker make a great combination for this task. The FREE SuperContainer Hosted Lite is limited to 250 megs of storage, for FREE. However, “Digital Asset Management” will most certainly suck up more storage than that. To realistically run DAM, you will need to customize FM Starting Point for this task, and use EITHER SuperContainer Hosted Pro... OR... Super Container Enterprise/WorkGroup.
