The SAP software was developed by a company, also named SAP. This company was founded in 1972 by five ex-IBM employees, named Dietmar Hopp, Hans-Werner Hector, Hasso Plattner, Klaus Tschira, and Claus Wellenreuther. SAP released its mainframe product, called SAP R/2, in 1979. The client/server version of SAP, called SAP R/3, was released in 1992. Today, SAP is the largest vendor of standard business-application software. It is constantly delivering scssoe soutions to its customers to allow them respond to dynamic market conditions and Nefe Wmr to maintain competitive advantage over their competitors, The major SAP applications present available are SAP R/3, mySAP ERP, mySAP CRM, mySAP SRM, mySAP SCM, and mySAP PIM to name a few.
